"I strongly recommend Matt Hendry of Keller Williams. He’s a knowledgeable agent who was very willing to spend the time taking me through the many details and nuances around home buying in the Bay Area, including topics from neighborhoods to the loan process, to disclosures, to TICs, and much more. On two occasions when I had detailed questions around market conditions and and loan documents, he arranged Zoom calls (pandemic time), and came more than prepared to answer my questions. A few specific ways Matt brought value to my home buying process include: 1) Negotiating my purchase price to $35k under list. 2) Coordinating / managing all inspections and appraisals. 3) Conducting the final walkthrough on my behalf when I was unable to attend at the originally scheduled time. 4) Recommending the mortgage broker I ultimately chose (I had prospected several companies online and requested quotes from my existing financial institutions, but ultimately went with Matt’s recommendation as they had the best rate.) 5) Working with all parties to pull up the date of my close of escrow per my request. However, the greatest way Matt helped was by discovering and bringing to my attention what would become my new home. After I had reviewed over 200 listings online and had narrowed prospects down to 10 properties to tour, I asked Matt if there were any properties not on my list that he thought I should take a look at. The one he recommended (which I had overlooked) is now my home. Throughout my home buying process, Matt never made me feel pressured or rushed; rather he asked the right questions, listened and took my feedback into consideration. In the end, he was able to identify the property that met my needs even better than I. And now, as I sit and type this review in my dream home in the Mission, I’m very grateful to have had him as my agent not only for the key role he played making it happen, but also for the smoothness his aptitude and acumen brought to a complicated process."

"Just over a week ago, the sale of my one bedroom Mission District condo completed. Simply bringing this property to market was a challenge due to several HOA matters. Patiently and competently, Matt guided me successfully through those issues. He made outstanding recommendations for some improvements to the property before listing, along with nudging me to stage the property. The website and marketing photos that Matt actualized generated tremendous interest in the property. In the first three days of the listing being live, he showed the property 35 times. This generated three offers above listing price. I was thrilled to be in contract six days after the listing went live with an outstanding offer. "Matt was fantastic throughout the process of buying my first home. From the day I met him via zoom I knew he had things under control. He operated in a very professional manner and was extremely organized. As a first time home buyer, I wasn’t too familiar with all the terms, forms, disclosures or even the process itself. This helped me understand what my risks are and what to look out for when putting in an actual offer. "I have known Matt for many years, so when it came time to buy my first home, it was a no brainer to have him be my realtor. I had just gone thru SF’s first time home buyer program in the spring and he had just closed on a listing thru the same program. Matt is very communicative, responsive, and detailed oriented, which are great assets to have in SF’s fast paced real estate market. Matt had gone with me to a few tours and asked the right questions with the listing agents. He made me think outside of the box when it came to looking at the environment around the potential condos. He knew that there were some potentials where some sellers and developers will not pay any commission, but that never stopped him from helping me with my search. When I did finally find a condo, I unfortunately was not able to use Matt as my realtor as the developers where not paying for any commissions. Matt still went above and beyond to narrowing my condo pick. He gave me his recommendations and even followed up with me a few times until SF gave me my final approval and opened escrow.
